Excited, I am. A lot.

(+1)

Thank you! We hope you enjoy it when it's ready!

This looks deliciously fun, I'm really looking forward to trying it out! I like the look of the stealth map gameplay, and your artstyle lends itself really well to both M/M and F/M stuff! Although me being bi definitely helps ;)

Thanks for the interest and the praise on what we've shown. Hopefully the full product is even more enjoyable for ya!

Just finished it off, and you delivered wonderfully! The art is fantastic, and the gameplay is engaging without being overly difficult/frustrating. My only complaints are that the movement is a little bit slow, and that the dialogue writing is a bit hit-or-miss; sometimes it's great, sometimes it's clunky (the scenes with Maggs in particular tend to swap between being cute as hell and awkwardly infodump-y). But aside from those two things, I'm very very happy with this, and am very eager to see what you folks have got in the future!

Thanks very much for playing through, glad you mostly enjoyed yourself. Sorry to hear that my own contributions let the side down a bit... but fair enough.

Damn, making a female protagonist is an interesting choice I guess. Establishing a fanbase with the gays through your one-of-kind kinky game experiences you've developed then making a f/f/m focused game kinda feels like a bait and switch.

I hate complaining about this kind of thing but theres not really any gay game like Grove or Prowler, they are genuine great and rare experiences (and hot too!). But theres so many games centered around female content its just disappointing to see another game added to the pile.

I do seriously hope for Grove-devs success but like I mentioned, as a huge fan its kinda disappointing.

(1 edit) (+3)

I'm not sure that they made an announcement about this game, but I wished they did. But the game looks cool, not for me though

(+16)(-1)

We're sorry that it comes as a disappointment to you and others who may feel the same way but... both of us devs are bisexual, and this is the kind of game we wanted to try out. It's most certainly not an abandonment of what came before.

Grove and Prowler are still in the works, and development of this game has helped us learn and improve our craft. The sales of this game will help keep us afloat as indie devs whilst we continue to work on Grove and Prowler, too. So we can assure you none of this is 'at the expense' of our m/m projects.

(+8)(-6)

No need to apologize! Love that y'all are branching out. I love playing as a female protagonist in some games. Can't wait to try it out ๐Ÿฅฐ

(+2)

Thanks for the kind words and the interest! Hope the game will be enjoyable for ya!

(1 edit) (+3)(-1)

Fellow bi person here ~~and a total sub~~ glad you are expanding yer horizions in this way

EDIT: This made me realize I should probably change the name of my Itch account to reflect my identity online

(+7)(-4)

@MeatyManMide Expecting devs to only make content that caters to your exact interest is pretty entitled dude. Normally I wouldn't make a comment like this but trying to make the devs feel BAD for making a game catered towards a different sexuality is incredibly lame.

Can't wait! Grove and Prowler are some of the best games I've played on this whole website!

Very kind words, and very big expectations. We hope the game meets them when you play it!

(+5)(-4)

This looks so cool but homosexual so I beg for a guy protag to eventually be added as an option but even if not seems worth a play

(+1)

If you give it a try we hope you will enjoy your time, but no pressure of course.

(+6)

I'm gay but I gotta play this! Your other projects are just so good!

(+2)

Thank you for saying that! It means a great deal to us to have a positive reputation as devs like that. Really hope you enjoy yourself if you give the gam a try!

(+1)

No worries, and I definitely will. You're games are great and I adore the artsyles of Grove and Prowler. And the way you guys explore hypnosis in Grove might well be my favourite take on the idea!

Looks interesting, can't wait to try it!

(+1)

Soon, soon! Thanks for the interest!

(+6)(-1)

Love her design. Excited to see something quite different from you. Can't wait.

Not long now, a little over 24 hours. Do +follow us if you haven't already and you'll get notified when the game's ready!

(+1)

I will be watching this project with great interest~ where will the first demos be available?

(+2)

The full game will be available Saturday July 5th! No demos, just the full and complete game.

(+1)(-1)

Hmmmm Intresting

(+10)(-26)

Why finish one game...when we can have THREE that never get updated? 10/10 paysite methodology. Executed perfectly!

(+8)

well, in its defence, it's a miniproject, and is being used to experiment and work on features that can be used in the main games; just like the gaming industry did back when they were making actual games that were fun, aka 90s-2000s era.

(+7)

Besides bug-fixing patches, this game will be complete on release. We'll be focusing on GROVE once more afterwards, using our learnings from Snake:Byte.

(+2)(-16)

So this one's a quick cash grab and tech experiment, smart. I'm not opposed to such stuff when it's done well, unlike how other companies handle similar things (* cough* E.A. *cough* Activision *cough*) . That being said, mildly curious, what's the financial goal with it?

(+5)

We don't have a set financial goal, like an amount of sales or revenue we'd like to hit. We'd just like for people to give the game a try and hopefully enjoy it and think it was worth their time and purchase :)

...this is subjective of course, but if we just wanted to make a "cash grab", we'd probably not make a female-protagonist game after our previous two gay focused games, haha.

Snake:Byte's a game we wanted to make as devs, and we're grateful for anyone who supports us making our living making games we enjoy.

(+1)(-13)

I mean cash grab in the traditional sense.  I understand that the word has negative connotations. However I would say that realistically if done for the right reasons with the right mindset, there is no problem whatsoever with cash grabs. Actraiser was a cash crab, fallout New Vegas was a cash crab, top gear 3000 was a cash grab, Doom 64 was a cash grab, Dune 2000 was also a cash grab, Castlevania symphony of the night was also a cash crab, and you'll notice that of those games I just mentioned are not only some of my favorites but arguably some of the greatest games ever made. A smaller project that is meant to truly be enjoyed and is actually fun, but has the intention for any funding that comes of it to go towards a main project, is a good cash grab. A bad cash grab is just one that's about getting money for no reason other then to get money, and doesn't even go towards another project or something. It's just there for money grabbing sake.

Regardless of how you feel about the particular words, I've seen you guys a while, and how you guys work on things, and I do not hold you guys in the same regard that would hold somebody like EA, or other vicious or vindictive companies. I might not like everyone on your guys's team, but overall I would say that you guys put a decent product out to market and half the time you don't even demand payment up front. That sort of methodology, is what I like in indie devs, in the sense that clearly everything you do is a passion project and you guys expect that you do it well enough that somebody will just want to give you money so that you continue doing it rather than even charging a price point because you guys truly believe in your passion projects.

(+3)(-1)

How can you compare this to EA OR ACTIVISION?? GOSH. This is a full experience on release, and REALLY GOOD ONE AT THAT. They're asking for 5 USD, FIVE FRICKIN DOLLARS. That's for a game which is filled with custom art and content for an experience that, I'd wager, is going to be worth a little more than the asking price.

It's not a 'cash grab' it's a 'product' which is being 'sold.' That is called a 'transaction' which is the means of exchange which allow awesome creative people like these developers to make MORE awesome games and have the free time to do so. Also, this is clearly a passion project.. This level of quality is far, far above the soulless competition in eroge, I assure you.

(1 edit) (-3)

Apparently you're f****** illiterate. You can't read beyond one sentence, you just run around and search for miscellaneous words and don't actually f****** understand everything because you're playing f****** word search instead of actually f****** reading s***. You want to say how can I compare something to EA? Why the f*** wouldn't I? If somebody is a genuine f****** bro, that puts a good product out there for a reasonable price, then yeah I'm going to compare them on EA because I love s******* on ea. The best way to s*** on EA is to compare them to people who don't do things the way EA does things. What a stupid f****** hot take. You and the other 10 f****** idiots who can't read, and who can't look at things objectively need to go back to f****** middle school. You know by the time I hit high school there was nothing they could teach me it's about, but to do drugs, but you could probably go back maybe they'll teach you to f****** read.

(+2)

OK.

(+4)

You clearly haven't been paying attention. This is a one-off fully complete small project. Grove is still free and the only other ongoing project is Prowler which is what Grove alternates with.

If you're going to accuse someone of abandoning projects at least get the facts straight. Crazy embarrassing behavior.
