Hi there, since the last patch, I have noticed some quit serious bugs:
- You can still get marked with the Ty'r core charged. This means you can purposeley get caught many times and when you get caught once accidentely, it's game over, even tough this core is suposed to protect you from the side effects of the scenes.
- When marked, getting caught once can be fatal if you've been caught using the Ty'r core before (had this with the CrOC), even if your integrety is 100%
- In the third zone, when unlocking access III, a certain drone will always blocks your way, unless you take it down. This means you can't get past it, so you need to be able to take at least 1 more hit to survive. This feels unintentional.
- The WorkSpy is immume to the Ty'r core, since every time it sees you, your position gets reset to it's vieuw range, and you end up right in frot of it, therefore trigering the scene again until you run out of energy and get teleported away, hereby also raising the security level. It drained a full suit from me, so this is realy annoying.
I believe the new system for marking is causing quite a problem in combination with the Ty'r core, since this can lead to an one-hit KO, even with 100% integrety. I would sugest counting the times a player has been caught without this core active seperately to determine the game overs and marking.
Appart from this, I love the new marking system, cause it allows you to get more marks in one run.
Amazing game! Nice variety of scenes, hot character and enemy designs, and really fun and interesting gameplay. Everything you'd expect from this dev team, really.
Definitely worth the price and makes me even more excited for a potential sequel or whatever else this team has in the works!!
I've come to comment my confusion, but first I wanted to say that I played Grove and Prowler, both great games, and this one I would consider just as good. It doesn't have all the content the others do, but its still well made and the game itself remains fun.
I will say, with Prowler I found the estimated time to completion far off from what I ended up spending, and I still didn't 100% it. On the other hand, I've tried 100% Snake:Byte and am running into an issue. I figured out how to get Endings 2-5...but how do you get Ending 1?
I did a bit of "cheating" at the end after figuring out how to get Ending 3 and the game I have doesn't seem to have an "Ending 1" scene? Is it pure text or am I missing it from game files?
Regardless, great game, thank you for your time and effort put forth. Looking forward to seeing Prowler and Grove updates!
I think its been mentioned before but I don't think either the Analysis Frame or the Scanners/Cameras have an actual marking.
If you are wearing the suit that prevents enemies from hurting you as long as you have energy, if you run into Huntress with energy they will mark you on their first attack and not kick you out of the area instead they will attack you again and trace you in one go instead of two
Will there be the ability to play on after the credits roll, like in Grove, to explore and unlock all of the areas within the three maps and get all of the core upgrades?
Right now we don't have any plans for this. We know a lot of people have requested it... but uncoupling the game systems from the progression isn't as easy as it might sound. And we wanted this project to mostly be one-and-done.
Still I won't say never. It's just not on the cards right now.
(v1.05) For anyone wondering about the codex entries and how to get them..
Yes, you do need to defeat enemies for the first three notes; that being the white information text and the blue text from Maggie. The requirement to unlock these three logs differ in number. I think most of the Level 1 enemies require 10 logs while Level 2 requires 20 so I'm gonna assume Level 3 might be 30 logs or a little bit less, no idea.
The player notes or the 'purple notes' is a bit of a mystery to me. Sirlzike said you'd need to be defeated by the enemies and receive a mark for the purple notes to appear but I've done like 5 hours of just doing exactly that and then some with Spi-Ware and M.ARM that it just never works lmfao so they might be bugged.
In regards to farming logs, you can constantly reboot a save and just farm logs that way since they carry across all saves. Doing bounties gives two every time so you can have a save for when you first unlock the bounty system and just rinse-and-repeat.
Bug Report: - If you're still marked by a boss or assassin (Maximum Security) type enemy, you can softlock yourself when you try and show/hide your undersuit or core then back out. (Can still open main menu for options)
- Don't know if its for NG+ (when you unlock everything first playthrough) or when you first start but enemy pathfinding is botched when you keep the Ty'r Neidr ability on once you get energy.
- Don't know if it's intentional but the gallery doesn't show the special blue-variant of the Q.Cell during the Basilisk bossfight.
- Of course, as I mentioned earlier. There's a good chance some enemy purple logs are bugged since I've tried getting them for SOOO LOOOONG and they never showed up. The only ones I'm aware of are the SPI-WARE and the M.ARM but there could be more. But to save you time, here are some entries where I do have purple logs:
Scanner
Siphon
Q.Cell
GHO5T
Basilisk
KWK
PAX-1
WorkSpy
HUNTRESS
I.Z.
- Don't know how I managed this but I have 46/25 Log Progress. :>
All in all, great game! Loved the direction the story and gameplay goes with this one and is definitely refreshing to have a female protagonist. I do wish that the UI was a little more intuitive since I have literally no idea what the fuck AP does and have only ever paid attention to EN and my overall stability but even then it took me a while to actually understand what they did and how EN works for the CORES.
On top of that, the conveyors are a bit of a death sentence at times, especially in Level 2 at the bottom where there is a room with two conveyors on the side leading to a camera. I, for the life of me, could not get myself unstuck from there since it resets you inside the belt, making you walk to either end and then it forces you to travel the belt, leading me to constantly go back to the camera and looping lmfao. Eventually figured a way and also (I kid you not) found out you can walk on the belts without needing to go through the entry points on my THIRD PLAYTHROUGH.
I imagine the 25th data log needed to go beyond the first boss isnt the cyberghost? Cause I've punched it to death several times with one of the suits, along with every enemy really, and I always get stuck on 24/25. The only ones I don't have from what I can tell, are the notes the protagonist makes when you get caught. Help please? Am I missing something?
(Note: If being able to blow up the ghost and not let it spawn ever again in that run wasn't intentional then.... oops lol) (Note2: The last upgrade on the Krag core supposedly gives +33 energy... but I never get it at the start of a run)
You completed it in just nine months, and it took me seven to eight hours to finish it, while you were also working on Grove (I saw your Sub.Star dev logs).
I haven't seen a better place to put bug reports, so I'll add mine here:
1. It appears to be impossible to get the scanner/roomba scanner markings.
2. Getting touched by the stealth drone after activating the exit causes the scene to play in the apartment.
3. Having the marking for an enemy, then viewing their scenes in the gallery will cause the marked version to play regardless of which option you choose.
Have y'all considered doing a version where the game just progresses by getting the quotas rather than the hard day timer? The day timer just feels, excessive, punishing, and punishes the ideas of exploration and experimentation in comparison to the other titles. Double down with how far more limited the saves slots are with the other titles has me overall kinda bummed out on the execution, even after the initial excitement of finally have a Grove Team game with a femme protag. :/
Like, with Grove, or Prowler, taking a relaxing run to just enjoy the lewds doesn't punish my save, I can just go throw a run and enjoy the lewds and soft implications~
But having the hard calender timer means I'm pretty much obligated to try hard the entire game and can't go exploring and relaxing for lewds and progress once I'm ready to see new content. :(
Gonna be honest with you the reason for the timer is to challenge the player, cause You unlock the lewds after beating the boss their isn't too much reason you should need to acquire the markings from getting caught Naturally, though as I've said in other forums, it's really difficult with some of the enemies to get the marking just because of how few they actually are *Cough**Cough*SPI-Ware*Cough**Cough* Other than that, the hard limits are their to convince the player to work their way through to the next session instead of messing around trying to become overpowered "see level 30 Grove run" and their is more than 2 suits 1 of which supports messing around as long as you have energy. but really just beat the game with 25 logs to fully unlock the gallery and then have a burner save with either the final boss or area 3 to mess around with said unlocked gallery. atleast until we can convince grove to make a post game for those of us enjoying getting caught naturally in game.
If there isn't even an infinite post game to sand box in that's, weird, for the genre. :/ Like I get having a fun little narrative and all but like, a gallery isn't the same as going out and getting drained~
Because ive been trying to unlock all the Character notes but cant seem to figure it out. I’ve lost to enemies and ive also used the T’yr Neidr “Swyn” core but it never seems to unlock?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Didnt mention this in my previous message but Love the game and the art can’t wait to see how these will be added to the grove rework!
Then I may be experiencing another bug, as I’ve been trying to unlock the character notes for the SPI-WARE, and I’ve ended a run to them many times while trying to unlock them. I’ve even tried using the two I know of in the first level as the last two enemies to end my run.
It would be wonderful if there was an option to see your "Marked/Unmarked" character in the apartment, it's a bit bothersome to have to save, go into a level, only to see and well, you can guess the latter parts of that. But still, a gallery option would be neat for that.
If it's too much work then that's completely understandable!
There's the "apply marker" system in the gallery and there's also Maggie's "marker removal" service which should show the visuals of how your player character looks.
Hello dear creators, I have a question how can I unlock further levels in your game because I finished Level 1 and defeated the boss of the first level and unlocked the ending and then nothing, how do I do what is needed for further levels to appear?
What you need to do is defeat enemies! You'll automatically collect Data Logs from defeated enemies. You need 5 Data Logs to continue playing after the first level.
The only problem is that there is a timer to defeat the boss, but after defeating him you can't continue playing, there is only an ending and you go back to the menu
Amazing game, although it is a windows download, there are easy to use MacOS operating instructions. Anyways, I would be very interested in more female mc games.
Hello! Very nice game! I love the idea and some of the mechanics
I just want to report a bug occurring to me. Sometimes, during the first boss encounter, my screen goes black and I can't see where I'm going anymore that triggers my defeat too in no time.
Also, when this occurs, I cannot see the defeat scene too...a little frustrating
one of the best games i played, and i played hundreds of games at this point
didn't expect a female protag, but im happy about that, because its always great for others to enjoy games like these (and i trust devs of this game to deliver). of course it also helps that im bi (not only that, but also i like to imagine myself as female too)
mild spoilers ahead:
my favourite about this game is probably the marking system, not only for protag model being updated, but also the fact there are hornier/more submissive versions of scenes with them (that also includes writing, i like reading)
also i like there is a lot of QoL (which honestly, i expect a lot of in bigger modern games, so in small project like this its great to see), and importantly also, difficulty settings (im definitely going to play few playthroughs of this game, and it also includes hard)
good surprise is that i didnt encounter as many bugs as i would expect otherwise, and overall it feels like this game is most polished yet of all 3
Thanks very much for playing, and for your positive review! Glad you feel like the game has good polish and QoL, that makes us happy to hear indeed.
If you're going to give the game some replays, we do recommend downloading the latest version. It has a few tweaks to make HARD mode a li'l more enjoyable, amongst the usual bugfixes and such.
Any plans to put this on Steam? I do like to keep my stuff together on there, but if not, I'll still likely wind up picking this up sooner or later here, this seems right up my alley.
If this game isn't to your preferences we totally respect that! But we enjoy different things, and GROVE and Prowler are still being worked on, so don't fear.
I think it's a relief to have a finished project, although I want to know if this one will have updates in the future, anyway I buy the game because I love their style of making games :3.
I saw a bad ending at the end of the game, but the game wasn't bad overall. I think there were more erotic scenes because it was a female character. I personally think it would be good if these erotic trap elements were also in Grove or Prowler.
However, there is a problem with the frame slowing down in the 123 map except for the boss battle, whether it is an optimization problem or a performance problem. I will try again if it is fixed.
And I think I talked about machine translation before, so I hope we can expect positive results for this. It is a very great game, but I have a hard time overcoming the language barrier.
+ There is an error in the grappling cutscene where the image is not displayed properly...
i'm probably skipping this one, along with any others until one of them is actually finished. no shade at the quality of the games themselves, but i don't really want to pay for something that will probably be taken out of favor for another new project before it's even close to finished
Codex No.17 is not unlocking.
I believe it's related to the spider-like enemies located at the far left and right of the starting area in Stage 3.
I’ve tried defeating them using different methods such as changing suits, using punches, and charm abilities, but the codex entry still remains blank even after returning (Codex No.17 is still not filled in).
Notably, after defeating the enemies and returning to the same spot, they respawn, unlike other enemies which disappear once defeated.
I've played all of GROVE DEVELOPMENT's games, and I truly love every single one of them. Thank you so much for creating such wonderful experiences. This latest game was also incredibly fun, and I deeply appreciate all the hard work that went into it :)
If possible, I would be very happy to see a Japanese translation in the future. Prowler had a translation, which made it even more enjoyable for me, so I'm definitely interested!
I generally don't write comments preferring to lurk around and enjoy stuff, but I am more than willing to for this.
I've followed your projects for a while and absolutely love them since I adore mind control and corruption more than anything else, I cannot really convey how much I've enjoyed this mini-project, how excited I was to see your team put out a game with a female protagonist, and just how much I hope for more things like this at some point. I'm also looking forward to seeing what'll be added to Grove and Prowler based off what was tested here, and maybe another femprotag project at some point, maybe even some more of the Intruder because she has such a wonderful design.
Regardless, the game is wonderful, and I am beyond happy that I gave it a try and I can't wait to see what else you cook up!
Thank you very much for coming out of lurking to give us such a kind and positive review! It's great to know folks like yourself were out there, watching us, and willing to give this new venture of ours a shot!

First game I've played from this studio, and its honestly pretty neat! Loved the gameplay cycle, and the wide spread of material covered :3
Would love to see more games like this in the future! Props again to the dev team for trying something new
Thanks for giving our game a shot, glad you enjoyed yourself with it!
Amazing game! Nice variety of scenes, hot character and enemy designs, and really fun and interesting gameplay. Everything you'd expect from this dev team, really.
Definitely worth the price and makes me even more excited for a potential sequel or whatever else this team has in the works!!
Thank you very much for the praise! We've not got any sequel plans just yet but... not going to rule it out, either.
For now, thanks for playing.

Make sure you're playing on v1.05, please. I believe we've addressed both of those bugs.
If you're still confused at how to get Ending 01, you need to defeat the first boss whilst having less than 5 Data Logs from defeating enemies.
Oh my fault. I haven't had much time to play the game so I've been slowly playing through it. Didn't even realize there was an update!
Will there be the ability to play on after the credits roll, like in Grove, to explore and unlock all of the areas within the three maps and get all of the core upgrades?

Anyone manage to get cheat engine going on this?
It's an RPG MakerMV game, so you can't cheat engine it; you need to use save editing.
love the game! hope to see more in future or game 2 :D
Love the game hope there will be Snakebye 2 or a dlc :D
Love the game! One report, if you speed-boost into the cellar ladder then you keep your fast speed afterwards, and are invulnerable.
I imagine the 25th data log needed to go beyond the first boss isnt the cyberghost? You don't need 25 Data Logs to go beyond the first boss. You only need 5.
The final upgrade to the Krag core vies you AP, not EN. AP allows you to take more hits.
why u guys dont put a demo on this game? (and i dont even find a crack of this game)
Dev, at least add a "struggling" feature like your previous project.
is the game have animated scene ?
No, just static images and accompanying writing.
Are you planning to do at least one animated scene in future games? Just asking.
I just wanted to say thanks for the game.
You completed it in just nine months, and it took me seven to eight hours to finish it, while you were also working on Grove (I saw your Sub.Star dev logs).

How do you unlock the Character Notes?
Because ive been trying to unlock all the Character notes but cant seem to figure it out. I’ve lost to enemies and ive also used the T’yr Neidr “Swyn” core but it never seems to unlock?
Thanks in advance
P.S. Didnt mention this in my previous message but Love the game and the art can’t wait to see how these will be added to the grove rework!
The character notes are unlocked by being defeated by enemies. Like, ending a run and losing to 'em.
Thanks for the compliments!
Then I may be experiencing another bug, as I’ve been trying to unlock the character notes for the SPI-WARE, and I’ve ended a run to them many times while trying to unlock them. I’ve even tried using the two I know of in the first level as the last two enemies to end my run.
Do you need to be marked to get the Notes?
apologies for the inconvenience
Just to make things as clear as possible...:
3/4 parts of each enemy's Codex entry is unlocked by defeating them and gathering Data Logs.
The last part, the purple 'player notes' is unlocked by being defeated by them and gaining their mark.
If that's not showing up for you then yes, we'll investigate further into it and see if it's a bug.
5 dollars and not even a demo on this web page to try it out?
If i may make a (hopefully) small suggestion...
If you haven't already do check out the latest version of the game, v1.04. We've implemented something a little similar to that suggestion.
Do i need to complete the game already or is it the "apply marker" system in the gallery?
And as a side note, i just got the game today so i should already be running on v1.04
Sorry for trouble, just trying to see if i missed something ^^;
There's the "apply marker" system in the gallery and there's also Maggie's "marker removal" service which should show the visuals of how your player character looks.
Maybe add a player character codex entry that shows the current character configuration like the in Mission status?
Sorry if im overstepping for suggesting that, i just think that those options are a bit limiting?
Plus, you could do fun notes with the PC and maggs?
Ah, I just found what you mean with the marker removal service. Sorry for the troubles!
I understand that.
You collect Data Logs by defeating enemies across the days before the boss fight.
Depending on what difficulty you're playing on, you have up to six days to collect 5 Data Logs. This should be plenty of time.
I guess I would need to wait for the demo.Or until I can use my own money...
Thank you for the bug report... please do confirm that you're playing on v1.04, and we'll look into this potential bug to see if we can find a fix.
Yup I'm playing on desktop computer, windows, and version 1.0.4.
It just occurred sometimes, not every time I tried :)
patch 1.02

Thanks very much for playing, and for your positive review! Glad you feel like the game has good polish and QoL, that makes us happy to hear indeed.
If you're going to give the game some replays, we do recommend downloading the latest version. It has a few tweaks to make HARD mode a li'l more enjoyable, amongst the usual bugfixes and such.
it's a good game,and I need some help! I got ending1.2.4.5,how can I get ending 3?TAT
Ending O3 requires beating the final boss with 24 or less Data Logs collected.
Thanks so much for playing our game and wanting to see it through to such completion!
Any plans to put this on Steam? I do like to keep my stuff together on there, but if not, I'll still likely wind up picking this up sooner or later here, this seems right up my alley.
Hey! Right now there aren't any plans to put it on steam, but perhaps down the line we'll look into such a thing.

Seeing my favorite game developer uploaded a game toward straight audience kinda broke my heart a little :(
I guess bisexual people don't exist, then?
If this game isn't to your preferences we totally respect that! But we enjoy different things, and GROVE and Prowler are still being worked on, so don't fear.
I think it's a relief to have a finished project, although I want to know if this one will have updates in the future, anyway I buy the game because I love their style of making games :3.
We currently have no plans for future updates (besides bugfixing of course). We want this to be a one-and-done completed project.
Thank you so much for purchasing the game though!
Thank you for giving our game a try, despite the language and performance barriers.
Anyone else having framerate issues?
i'm probably skipping this one, along with any others until one of them is actually finished. no shade at the quality of the games themselves, but i don't really want to pay for something that will probably be taken out of favor for another new project before it's even close to finished
Fair enough if you wish to skip this one, but this is a complete and fully released game. No where have we stated that this is a work in progress.
apologies for assuming lol
Codex No.17 is not unlocking. I believe it's related to the spider-like enemies located at the far left and right of the starting area in Stage 3. I’ve tried defeating them using different methods such as changing suits, using punches, and charm abilities, but the codex entry still remains blank even after returning (Codex No.17 is still not filled in).
Notably, after defeating the enemies and returning to the same spot, they respawn, unlike other enemies which disappear once defeated.
This behavior was confirmed on Patch 1.02.
Thank you for playing our games!
We're not sure if we'll do JP translation... it's possible, but I can't guarantee it at this time. Thank you for expressing your interest though!
super loving the game but is there any way to skip the second boss? genuinely cant get based it no matter how hard i try
i did it!!! omg took me way to many tires and way to many lovley game overs
The game's great, although I admit the gameplay is a bit tedious only because my device can't handle it and lags lol
This game's been awesome! The aquatic 'coolant' drone was unexpected.. and probably my favorite encounter so far.
Thanks so much for playing! Nice to see an appreciator of that particularly enemy ;)
I could tell it got some extra attention.. and I'm very very glad it did. <3 Good luck with your other development!
Very very good game, i'm now very curious in what we would see next from you in GROVE and Prowler, maybe even with that lil Snake :3
Thank you very much!
