Is there something wrong with the Mac build? It seems to be completely broken, crashing before I can do anything.

We haven't got a MacOS build for the latest version yet, as it's still giving us some trouble.

If you're referring to version v0.204... try these instructions:

1. Extract the PC (windows) game folder (GROVE_0.204) onto the desktop.

2. Download the normal version of NW.js (https://nwjs.io/) and transfer the app to Applications. Make sure to grant it permissions under the Privacy and Security setting after trying to open it.

3. In terminal, launch the game with this command (substitute your Mac username for NAME): open -n -a nwjs --args "/Users/NAME/Desktop/Grove_0.204"

I sadly couldn't get it to work, thank you for the help, though. I've heard nothing but praise for this game and I can't wait to try it myself

(+1)

Yeah, sorry... we're still struggling a bit on our end to get the MacOS version working. But we'll make an update and announcement if we have any breakthroughs!

Can't wait!

The best lewd game I have ever played. Everything is perfection, leg shakingly good if you know what I mean. I hope everyone who thinks the same donates too. The characters and world are so cute and hot. Your writing is so awesome. The art is perfect. It's crazy to me how well you managed to pace the scenes, and sketch them out every time so damn sexy :P I wonder how two people talk through how to storyboard a femboy bat or a slug fucking (weirdly one of the hottest enemies lol).

<3 I've played it a lot and still definitely missed a lot.

Also the amount of work put into this seems insane!!! And it's all in the right areas too

(1 edit) (+2)

Thanks a lot for all the kind words you have to say about our game! It's always a pleasure to see somebody who so thoroughly enjoys all the aspects of our game, from the lewds to the writing and the world-building and more.

Here's hoping you'll find the interest and desire to go back in and find the things you missed in the gallery! You can unlock stuff on previous saves, so no need to get a "perfect run" as it were.

Otherwise, thanks again for the kind words~! Massively appreciated :)

(+1)

:3 in the memories section I've pretty much got almost all. Turns out I'm pretty thorough when horny lol. It's so nice that unlocking stuff is persistent too <3.

I would love if there was another long term (or even longer term) hypnosis/corruption story like the moth capture or the bandit boss gameover. That bandit boss game over... man :3

(+1)

Now that I've played the death out of this game, I'm anxiously awaiting the next update (I know, that won't be until the Second Coming is confirmed by Encyclopaedia Britannica - just teasing) but I was wondering if the bulk of the opponents (I won't call them 'bad guys' because there's no evidence they're actually 'bad') going forward will also be some form of slime?  We have blue, green, and red slimes, green, red, and black slime dragons, but then there is the slugs (arguably slimy) and assorted flowers surround you in slime so aside from certain boss-types and the bandits, are there going to be non-slime types?  Unless... the main antagonist is actually...O_O  a SLIME!

(+2)

Hah... I can't really reveal what enemies are coming in part 2, but hopefully there'll be a decent mixture between slimy and non-slimy foes, and something for everyone to enjoy.

(+1)

hey there! just curious if there is gonna be a mac build for 3.0 eventually or if it's just windows and linux moving forward.

(+2)

MacOS is giving us a bit of trouble right now, so that's why it's been delayed. We're looking into it still, though. If we have an update, we'll make an announcement.

(+2)

Having known about Grove for quite a while now, the new build was the excuse I needed to finally check the game out, and if this massive wall-of-text-turned-essay-review of v0.307 is any indication, I'm extremely glad I did.

As someone whose biggest kink is hypnosis/mind control, little did I know that I would be the one put in a trance, as I played this game for, and I'm not kidding you, 24 hours straight.

Well, to be honest, itch has me clocked in at 23 hours, but I hope you'll forgive me for exaggerating a little and rounding up.

It's not like that's a common occurrence for me or anything. I couldn't tell you the last time a game hooked me THIS much, but while I was playing, there was always something that kept me wanting to continue, whether it was the plot, the characters, or, yes, the porn.

It's easy for me to focus on the latter, but the best furry games/visual novels do a good job at balancing all three of those aspects, something which Grove does very well, in my eyes.

I'll start with the porn first, though, given it's relevant to the game's plot. Since kinks are so specific to each of us individually, I can't promise that anyone reading this will get the same level of sexual enjoyment I did, but if you're a massive pervert like me, you're gonna find a lot to like.

In the game's setting, something is causing both creatures and plants alike to crave certain...nutrients; nutrients which you, a muscular male dragon named Grove, are able to provide them. On top of that, this same corrupting force is influencing/controlling people, making them act on their wildest and most carnal impulses. Put the two together and you have a situation where literally everyone and everything wants to fuck you.

You can be a saint and defeat them all, of course, but if you do find yourself on the losing end (unwillingly or otherwise), you'll get a detailed, turn-by-turn description of Grove being tamed with accompanying art, each specific to that enemy. If defeated, there will then be a "bad ending" where you see whichever kinky fate Grove ended up having.

Personally speaking, I found all of the enemies very arousing. I already said I love mind control, but in terms of kinks, there's also plenty of bondage, corruption, objectification, master/slave, body control/takeover, goo, monster, oviposition, and probably more I'm forgetting. Regardless, all of the scenarios are are really well done. One of the reasons why I couldn't stop playing this game during my first playthrough was I needed to see what would happen next.

And that also has to do with the plot and characters. In contrast to the pornographic aspect, the story has been gradual in its progression, which is great. It feels natural when the mystery is steadily revealed and your relationships with others grow. There is one moment in the current patch when, in passing, a character makes a physical advance on Grove, and it honestly took me aback. It is the first time, as far as I can tell, that an NPC has made a move on you, and I love that, especially since it's fitting for that particular character and their story. You can tell that the creative team truly care about building the bonds between Grove and the cast, to make it more rewarding once you ARE able to romance them, and I appreciate that a lot. As well, seeing a town slowly build up around the inn you call home is one of the many small touches in this game that left me feeling satisfied.

Another thing I wanted to praise is the combat. I love the fact that there are two fighting systems you can use, one with your normal skills and another while you're prone. One thing I liked is that, while prone, you get a critical hit just before you climax, meaning you still have a chance to win even if you're about to lose, adding a dramatic factor to it. I try to keep my HP and shields as high as possible, but since I like grinding, it can cost most of my gold to replenish recovery potions because the enemies are pretty tough. However, if you balance your HP, MP, and stamina bars well, you can basically become a sex-fighter and manage well enough even under half-health, which is a nice option to have.

If I have any suggestions or criticisms, given how many fighting abilities you can learn, I would like to have individual categories that separate abilities based on type. Currently, you have to scroll and remember where each one is, which can be annoying. I also wouldn't mind having more detailed explanations on some abilities and items. I think the teleportation map could use a bit of a revamp, too. For the sake of my own sanity, please lower the chance of those underwater tentacle creatures grabbing you in the jungle. While bugs and spelling errors are expected in new patches, I have to point out that moving around in the slug golem room was almost impossible for some reason, but I'm sure the devs already know that. As well, while I do think the sketch style used for the artwork works great for capturing the imagination, I would love to see more detailed key art. I know that would take a ton of time, but if there are plans to ever sell this game as a full release, I would happily pay $20-$30 for something like that, personally speaking.

That said, the fact this game is currently FREE amazes me. If they wanted to, I believe the devs would be well-justified in having a Patreon to support development costs. At the very least, I hope they get a lot of money in direct donations, because they deserve it, in my opinion. I got an entire's day worth of enjoyment out of Grove so far, and I'm sure I'll have many more.

And because I can't seem to stop gushing about my adoration for this game...

The adventuring trio is great and I love each of them equally. Wizz is best wizard shopkeeper friend person. I'm super excited to see how Tuon's arc plays out, and spend time with Bosc, and discover what Sulik is hiding, and see what shenanigans the bandits find themselves in, and learn more about the slug golem host. Also, voting in the strawpolls was harrrrrd. All of the enemies/NPCs are great, and picking a top 5 would've been difficult, let alone three! The fact that jellicap's in last place, followed by the mimic and the imp, is an absolute travesty, because they were all legitimately some of my favorites. I wound up voting for Jellicap/Overseer/Bosc and Jaler/Tuon/Bosc, but again, they're ALL great. This game is incredible. Holy shit. I'm tired.

...

Okay, think I got it all out of my system. To whoever got this far, thanks for reading! Hope you have a great day. :)

(+2)

Thank you very much for an overwhelmingly huge, positive and kind writeup for our game! It's a pleasure to know you could spend such a long and enjoyable time with GROVE and have such positive things to say about it all in all.

I can only hope we can continue to make something that achieves the same quality level, or somehow even exceeds it! It's a tall order... but we're gonna try our best, for sure!

Also, two things regarding your critiques:
Are you playing with mouse controls? The zoomed-in area is known to be... difficult if you do. Whilst click controls work a decent amount of the time, there's a reason the UI at the start of the game recommends arrow-key controls.
The water tentacle plants can be avoided, just pay attention to the sprites. They rise up and down from the water in an on-off sequence. If you get nabbed in one state... just time your jump for when they're in the other state!

Hope maybe this helps a bit with some of your issues!

(+2)

Not a problem! I know what I said was...a lot. Hehe, my apologies if I came off a little TOO enthusiastic there. It doesn't happen often, but when I find something I completely obsess over in the fandom, I can't help but shower the creators with praise for the awesome job they did, even if it winds up being a bit embarrassing on my part. For a game as niche as this (a scalie JRPG that manages to balance good characters, plot, gameplay, and kink), I believe the work you guys have done so far has been absolutely superb and I cannot wait to see what comes next. ^^

Also, the tips are very much appreciated! I guess the plants were so smol and unassuming that my brain couldn't register there being a pattern involved. Weird about the mouse issue though, as that one area was the only time I had problems, but it's good to know there's a workaround at least. Thanks again! :D

(+2)

Heh, you're all good, no worries. We're very grateful for the big, positive, thoughtful writeup you did! And I'm glad that our game could come along and be enjoyable for you in the same way it's enjoyable for us to fill a hole in the 'market' as it were, not that we're selling this thing of course.

Glad that my pointers could help you, too! If you ever plan on going through the game again in the future, hopefully it'll make those sections a little less difficult to deal with.

(+1)

i downloaded the game (307) but it came with no exe to play it, looked thtough every file and nothing

(+1)

There is no .exe in the download. It's just an application. Make sure you've extracted the game properly, then just run the application!

(+1)

Also, be sure that your anti-virus isn't deleting the game itself!

-RegalBuster

(+1)

Is the game ended at the 3rd time to grain mill? I have finished all the side quest and can't seems to progress any further ahead.

(+1)

Make sure you've done all of the quests from both the top and the bottom quest board.

Then visit the mill at night-time... and when you end up getting abducted, pay close attention to the visuals after the text ends. Pink symbols will appear.... don't they look a bit like arrows...? I'm sure you can figure out what to do from there!

(+1)

Say no more I am donating, this is game is more completed and fun than most 3A games out there despite being an indie and still in development.

(+1)

just fishing here, liked the content the bats really stuck out... they got transformative abilities so i was wondering if other foes would bring that to bear against grove in some fasion after all if grove got turned into one of the femboy bats for example i doubt his armor will fit over that frame, and it might be able alter how they fight.

(+2)

Literally just created an itch.io  account to tell the devs how much i loved this game. Just finished it, and now i'm sad - but that speaks to how fun (and hot) it was.

I can't wait for part 2, but I do have some suggestions for the game, if you're interested:

1. I'd love for the enemies to gradually lose armor pieces as we attack them, much like we do when they attack us ;)

2. Some aspects of the game aren't super clear. One example would be on top of the mill the second time, although i passed it, it took a few attempts before I realised it was interactive & not a cinematic sequence. So I got a few game overs before i realised i had to "break out". Maybe I'm just dumb though idk.

Honestly these are literally it. Just a touch more clarity & more lewdness ;3

But truly it's wonderful <3

(1 edit) (+1)

Thanks so much for going through the time and effort of making an itch.io account just  to share a kind comment with us! That means a lot, truly :)
If you've got the time to drop a rating, that would be massively appreciated as well~

And thanks for your positivity and praise for the game, and your suggestions as well! We'll do our best to keep on raising the bar, adding new ideas, and improve existing and old ones as we go!

(1 edit) (+1)

Is it actually possible to defeat the treetop boss outside?  Have noticed the area resets you to level 1 and every tactic so far ends in failure; attacks either miss or do 0 damage and he KO's you in two rounds.

Also just come to notice I can't access the gallery any more. D:

(+1)

Whilst that particular scene I think you're talking about is supposed to reset you to level 1, that should only apply for the first part of the area. Can you confirm you have completed the stealth section, escaped from your bondage, grabbed the key from them, and used it to reclaim your gear from the storeroom to the right?

Also your gallery will unlock once you complete all the story content.

(1 edit) (+1)

Yup!  Have done the stealth section and reclaimed my gear (amour shows on the sprite, but still naked in battle, though? and inventory is completely empty except for the azure from the chest in the same room).

I've even gone to a previous save and re-done the area thinking the moondust was supposed to help you get out that battle.

If it helps to know, I'm on the Linux build. (bug on this build; the "stroke self" text with the heart doesn't display properly; the colour formatting text shows up instead.)

Gallery... makes sense. xD

(+1)

So I met the trio outside the inn after defeating the forest tentacle monster, and now I'm supposed to meet with the Mercenary Commander, but he's nowhere to be found.

(1 edit)

Can you confirm you're on the most recent hotfix, v0.307? There was a brief issue where he vanishes on some of the earlier builds.

Don't forget to make a backup of your saves and use the save file transfer guide so you don't lose any progress!

(+1)

I was running 306. running 307 fixed it for me. thanks

(+1)

in the second computer area with the flashing tiles, i keep getting stuck on a long L-shaped tile area. Any advice?

(+1)

The white tiles are safe spots! Try using click controls to reach them if you struggle a bit!

(+1)

how do i full screen the game?

(-1)

alt+enter

(+1)(-1)

nope its f4

(+1)

i pressed all keys

(+1)

I've been kind of stuck on this one ever since last update and it's only one I need left. I've been losing to the mimic in the caves for a while now, is there something I'm missing?

"This chest is sealed with a thin layer of slime. . . You see visions of a trickster chest deep within a cave. . ."

(+1)

Make sure that you're not running out of stamina and getting a Game Over. If you do, the game won't have a chance to save the scene.

Make absolutely sure that you see the scene all the way through and then defeat the slime afterwards! Make sure you're all the way back to regular exploring gameplay. If you've got the slots for it, make a new save after it's done, BEFORE going back to your gallery save.

If it's still not unlocking for you and you can confirm you've done these things, we'll look into it and see if there's any issue with it. This one is a liiittle bit finnicky but it shouldn't be bugged according to the others who've gone through it!

(+1)

Please help I am now stuck in the desert.

Constantly getting  Heat stroke and cannot find a way out. T_T

(+2)

You need to find shady spots and shelter. There's a cabin you can enter, and there's small valleys in the desert that can protect you. Walk around in them and your heat will go down!

The area you're looking for is at the top-right. Good luck.

(+1)

Thank you! I have finally found the Ruins. I have figure out what my problem is. So basically,i am using a emulator on my phone and it just won't render any overly on the screen. So the very edge of the map with  Sandy special effect overly on the map It's just pitch black that's why I didn't see the entrance. I have switched to pc.

(+2)

Yes, please, we absolutely recommend playing on PC if you have the option. Mobile emulation is not officially endorsed and runs into several graphical issues like the one you mentioned.

(+1)

Is there a Chinese  Language patch?

If so, how can I download it?

(+3)

Not yet. We're working on it. We'll make an announcement when it is completed. Make sure to +Follow so you will be notified!

(+2)

Someone help me... how can I escape the grain mill game over?

(1 edit) (+2)

Pay attention to the visuals... the pink symbols that appear after the text, don't they look like arrow keys...?

(+1)

the arrows don't appear for me :/ the scene starts the time starts but no arrows appear, is the sequence of the arrows random? I hear the hit and miss sound effects

(+1)

I'm 99% sure the arrows are there for you. They're not immediately in your face, but they are definitely there, bright pink against the purplish background. And yes, they should be random. You need to press the corresponding arrow keys as they appear.

If you really don't think they're appearing, share a screenshot and I can check for sure.

(+1)

I really liked the update and managed to complete 3.0.7 with lvl 12 and 18 of corruption, it took a lot of work the first fight against the Green Dragon with daggers and the fight against the Red Slime Dragons I had already saved the game after entering the room and the mission wouldn't let me go out to buy more healing items, I almost thought I'd have to start the save from 0 because I had 10hp against 2 enemies that had 900hp.

I'm already at lvl 14 and possibly I'm going to delete the Save and new game, because apparently I can increase the corruption even more in some points, not to mention some interactions that I saved in the wrong place and ended up preventing me from returning the save.

But before continuing what the Slugg Egg, Unmarker key and Rustle Temple Key are for, I'm really in doubt about how to use all of this. Another thing, how to light the altar of the green slime farmer?

GIVE US DARK PLACES 2

(+1)

Be sure to use multiple saves in case you get stuck! We give you 99 slots for a reason.

- Slug egg: Used as an ingredient for a synthesis recipe. You will need to unlock the pot first.
- Unmarked key has no use as of this update.
- Rusted temple key: It was used in the desert temple, so it no longer has a use.
- You can't 'light' the altar at the moment.

You will have to be patient, we just finished development of Dark Places part one

- RegalBuster

So there will be more versions of it, such as the Dark place Ⅱ, Ⅲ and even Ⅳ?A little anticipation now.

(+1)

Ahhh the enemies so hottt i want to play more and found those buffy hot enemy tho and the game is very epic ngl

(+1)

Thank you~!

(+1)

where can I find the hardened black sludge?

(+1)

I was wondering this too and I looked into the JSON file and found its from an Inert Shambler.

(+2)

You're guaranteed to get two when you visit the desert valley after it's been blocked off (post questboard unlock). Go up to the Northern Settlement, then go north-east towards the gate with the few workers mingling around.

- RegalBuster

Thanks so much. I got them. Another question, after I try to synthsize "Dark Latex tatters", wizard says "you have no need for this item". Is it because that I have already have "Skimpy Cover" armor set?

That's correct, the 'dark latex tatters' is another way of getting the set if you've missed out on the bandit ones! If you already have the garments however, you won't be able to get them again.

- RegalBuster

(+1)

Will there be an Android version

(+1)

Not at this stage, sorry. Maybe in the future.

- RegalBuster

(+1)

Thanks for letting me know

(+1)

This game has been so amazing I appreciate all the work that went into this 😖 I do need help on a part though. I’m stuck on the moon moth man encounter. I don’t understand on what else to do in this situation other than head up into the mill and receive a game over. Please help 🙏

(+2)

when he puts the Mask on you, some texts will appear, then some squares will appear on the screen you need to tap them quickly and then you will appear in his hiding place.

Hope this helps

(+1)

Y'all knocked it out of the park this update! Really enjoyed the additional scenes between the gang, as well as the awesome world building. Thanks for the hard work on this, and I'm really looking forward to the next update. That said:

(spoilers ahead)

I may have missed/forgotten a couple of things, but I seem to be a bit lost on what to do with the moondust you pick up from the top of the mill. I've reached the endscreen for this update, but I can't seem to find where the cauldron is that the wizard is referring to. Is it in the area behind him in the shop, or somewhere else?

(+2)

Thank YOU for playing through, and for the positive words regarding the scenes and world-building! T'is a pleasure to know there are folks who enjoy both sides of the game~.

As for your question, the moondust can be synthesized into an item with three units... and with a certain cauldron, yes.
There's a merchant on the other side of the slug den. Go all the way through, instead of heading down. He's waiting on the opposite side, and he'll give you the cauldron you need! You can still make something with the moondust and with other ingredients, so I recommend picking it up even if you missed it during the main game!

(+1)

(Small spoilers ahead)

Maybe I'm missing something but the scene where Tuon pats your butt while wearing the slave outfit seems to be locked outside the gallery, since you can't get the outfit before heading down the mines. You need the cauldron to get the armor, but you can only do it after completing the jungle caverns that open the path to Bizz. Tuon leaves the settlement long before (by the time you are doing the delivery task he is already gone) and doesn't return until finishing the mines. That makes it impossible to see that exact scene outside of using the gallery. Giving him the tatters seems to do nothing in this update. He just keeps them, tells you to wait a little longer and then leaves after a few explorations.

Again, maybe I'm missing one exact point in the timeline where you can access Bizz before the jungle caverns, but I haven't found it yet.

(+2)

You don't need the cauldron to get that armour. The primary way of getting it is by being captured by the bandits in the bandit hideout, and then escaping from captivity and reclaiming your gear (something that isn't missable so long as you're caught). You can then hand the materials you get to the blacksmith. And he'll make the gear for you after the desert temple.

(+1)

Okay, I finally got it. The problem is that the window you have to get it from Tuon is insanely small.  When you return from the desert temple you automatically rest and the next day the mailman ask you to deliver the letter to the commander upstairs. That's the only moment you have to get the armor. The moment you deliver the letter, Tuon despawns. I missed it because since you get the letter inside the Inn and have to deliver it upstairs, there's very little reason to go outside in that moment.

(+2)

Ah, yes... if you're playing through a new game, there is indeed only a small window of sorts. We're going to try and add a little something to the maildrake's scene to have you go check outside and talk to the blacksmith, next time.

Thanks for the feedback. Knowing this is a bit of an issue folks are running into, we'll do our best to try and work carefully around it next time.

Oh snap. I really missed this window? I have to go so far back just to get the armor. I've made hours of progress since then thinking Tuon would come back at some point. You need to add something to the forge that lets the assistant give you the armor if you turned in the scraps and missed that tiny gap to go to Tuon.

Tuon will also come back after you complete the quest "A New Source". That's not the only chance to get the 'skimpy armour'.

But yes, we plan to add a way to get a bigger window for players to acquire this armour BEFORE doing Tuon's quest. We recognise that the current method is more than a bit obtuse.

(1 edit) (+1)

Is it possible to get items if you’ve missed them? i kind of forgotten to talk to Kuno to get the ranger armour after saving the blacksmith and didn’t get captured by the Bandits to get the tattered apparel

(+2)

Both of these items can indeed be acquired later! For the former, you just gotta help him out. For the latter... you'll need to do some synthesizing!

Hope these hints help you out!

(2 edits)

Just wanted to make sure... I can get the items at the inn & hideout later in the game? (apologies if I sound silly)  Nevermind!

(+1)

This game sure has been phemonal! But now I'm trying to retreive the captive dragon's gear, and the green box won't open when clicked on. Tried reloading several saves... but now it looks like I'm stuck.

(+1)

Clicking on it can cause some navigational issues, due to the camera zoom-in.

Click controls DO work about 85% of the time, but due to the nature of some of the events and cameras and things in our game, we can't promise they work all of the time. Just some limits of the engine we can't overcome.

You should be able to go up to it using regular arrow key movement. And also double-check you're on the latest hotfix v0.307 as opening the chest from the side can sometimes cause you to get stuck too.

I updated to .307, did the fight again and then carefully manuevered right in front of the green box using the arrow keys. Clicking on the green box made Grove move to the edge of the screen to the left.

Not sure what else to try now. But I do appreciate the response!

Oh, I think you took my comment a bit too directly.  When I say use the arrow keys to move up to the box... I also mean using them to collect what's inside too. Use the Enter button to just open the chest.

Sorry, like I said, click controls can be a bit spotty at times due to the nature of the engine. You're just going to have to use the keyboard input here, walk up to it with arrows and press enter.

Thank you, problem solved.

I hope to get to see more of the 'auxilary commander' in game. :)

(+1)

All of my item is gone after nightmare, The only thing left is  a item called "helpful mist", It this a bug or just designed this way? Because I got no weapon now, And I found that forgemaster in the northern settlement, But he won't sell anything to me...(Sorry for my english, I used translator)

(+1)

If you were captured by a big insect at night-time, then this is intentional! You can use the "mist" to help escape from your abductor if he finds you! Look for a way to escape and find your weapons!

The forgemaster will sell things to you the day after he returns. He needs some time to prepare his stock.

I hope this helps you!

Thank you!>_<

(+1)

This update was amazing! Already finished it and love the new additions as well as some of the changes i noticed! I would love to see a scene with the tentacle plants you can find in some of the corruption zones, I'm already planning on playing through the game with the high corruption level just to see if i notice any changes or anything! Looking forward to more! Incredible job!

(+1)

The changes aren't super dramatic, but we think you'll notice a few fun things here and there if you do plan on going for a high corruption playthrough!

Otherwise, thank you very much for the positive words regarding the update!

(+3)

I loved the new update congrats to the developers

(+2)

Thanks a lot~! Thank YOU for playing ;)

(+2)

Loved everything about this update! Still hoping for a rather fat/obese enemy that uses their heft to their advantage during the struggle portions sometime. That'd just be the massive icing on the cake for me! Loved all the encounters. ^^

(+2)

Thanks for the kind words! I won't spoil what's coming in the future, but glad you liked things well enough for this one~!

(+1)

is there anyway to transfer saves so i dont have to start right at the beginning again or no?

(+1)

Yes, there's a save file transfer guide in the download. Should be named as such. It'll instruct you on what you need to do.

(+1)

nevermind, i found the guide, looking forward to the updates!

I love this game so much, been on for too long, haven't slept going through the new update. But I am at the mine bats currently, and every time I try to present myself and the enemy goes through the dialogue, the game crashes. Any idea why?

(+1)

Huh, that's a new one.

Can you confirm you're on the most recent hotfix? V0.307?

Does an error message appear, or does the game just completely crash? If there is a message, please screenshot it.

If there's any other information you can provide so we can look into it, that'd be much appreciated?

(+1)

I believe I figured it out. It was an error with the saves. I think I was out of storage on my computer and it was bugging the saves. I will try to screenshot if it happens again.

(+2)

OK, thank you. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again though!

(+3)

This game was so much more than I expected. Very good work~

1. Extract the PC (windows) game folder (GROVE_0.307) onto the desktop.

2. Download the normal version of NW.js (https://nwjs.io/) and transfer the app to Applications. Make sure to grant it permissions under the Privacy and Security setting after trying to open it.

3. In terminal, launch the game with this command (substitute your Mac username for NAME): open -n -a nwjs --args "/Users/NAME/Desktop/Grove_0.307"

Hope that helps!

nwjs opened but no actual window came up  ;-

Hey, sorry but we don't own Macs to test this method, so there isn't much we can do....

- Did you download the WINDOWS version of Grove v0.307?

- Have you made sure to download the 'Normal' version of NW.js?

- Did you make sure to extract the contents of the Grove folder so that it's not being run from the zip folder?

- Did you make sure the extracted folder of Grove is on the DESKTOP on your computer?

- Did you make sure that you typed in the command exactly as is, but have replaced the '/NAME/' section with your computer's account name?

If it's none of those issues... unfortunately you may need to look into programs like "Wine" (search up WIneHQ), and use an emulator. Sorry there isn't much else we can do to help....

I'm having a bit of trouble with the enemies in the Slime Cavern-Underworld. They seem too strong. Any strategy advice?

I could potentially be under levelled, currently lvl 14.

(+2)

Nah, you're a solid level for it, as long as you have been buying upgraded weapons.

The red slimes hit hard if you use fire on them, but fire does a lot of damage... try and save that for a final blow!
Try inflicting Bleed or Stun on them with your Sigil Abilities too! Pure damage isn't always the way.
Otherwise, make sure to watch your HP, and heal up as you need. Don't forget about the Strip ability. Having a good stock of healing items will help too... and there's a semi-hidden one in the room just before the Underworld if you look carefully.

Hope all this helps.

Heyo, its me again with my terrible fighting skills

Currently on the slime cavern task and ive fought the first dragon, but now im stuck on 20hp with 10 stamina and ive already collected the hidden vigour flask.

If anyone knows what to do, id love to hear

(+1)

Ooof... if you're low on healing items, you might have to go back to the Inn and stock up. Don't forget to stock up whenever you're back at the Quiet Meadow. No sense having your Gold burning a hole in your pocket.

You CAN try and risk running back to the Inn if you want... or it might be better to reload a past save and buy up beforehand!

The more I read, the more I realize this game has some serious lore and world building. Not gonna lie, I'm tempted to  see more of it.

At first I thought there'll be only scalies lol, so is there's any reasons why?

(+3)

The main reason it's almost all scalies is 'cause... that's what we as devs like the most! That and anthro furry games tend to usually focus on big fuzzy wolves and whatnot, so... something different for a change!

There's probably other races out there, though! You might even meet them in the future, potentially. For now though I'm glad you enjoy all the lore and world-building! Hope you'll continue to look into things, examine things, and stick around for future updates!

It's a bad day for my computer to stop working

(+2)

Oof... sorry to hear that.

Fingers crossed you can get it working again soon, and I'm not just saying that for Grove.

(+1)

So when will there be a Chinese version.

(+2)

Volunteers are working on it. We will make an announcement when it is completed!

(+2)

That's great!

Nearly done my second playthrough starting over after .204 and I find it hilarious that there are multiple bosses and enemies that will take me a few tries to get past, having *nothing* to do with difficulty and everything to with being unable to resist seeing their excellently-made grapple CG sets and accompanying texts through once they've started. I'm beginning to think it's MY corruption levels that are increasing :P

I can't get specific for spoilery reasons but there's a new boss with little helpers, and those little miscreants ruined the grapple CG progression the first time I fought 'em! Halfway through, one of them did one of their attacks whilst poor Grove was "knocked out" with 0 HP and it forced the post-defeat scene to start. This is hardly a bug or anything, easily solved by whomping the little guys before being... uh... UNINTENTIONALLY knocked down by the main baddy, but I figure you wouldn't want anything interrupting those steamy sequences(made me let out an audible "Aww..." before ALT-F4'ing lol).

Finally, I think I said as much in my review, but the amount of descriptive text is simply awesome. It's worth waiting for updates for this reason, and I highly doubt I'm the only one who presses A on Every. Single. Object. Just some of the favorites that immediately come to mind: shouting into an empty box for a reply, guards that stay vigilant during scripted events, Kuno's mushroom friends and the wealth of world-lore-stuff in the Auxiliary Commander's room.

P.S. also had a good laugh when the game, when looking into my save's corruption levels for the new content, basically said "WHOA...you're doing totally fine, buddy, no adjustment necessary"

Thanks for the big, positive writeup! It's really greatly appreciated~! It's wonderful to know you enjoy both the lewdness and also the silliness of the game, the writing and the artwork in all its ways and means, enough to want to write up both a positive comment and a kind review!

Hope we can keep impressing you, and raising our bar of quality, with the next updates!
