Played it, loved it, paid $50USD as a fitting reward for a game well made, and registered to give my praise!
Some ideas I had:
I hope for more contextual text prompts when affected by states or parasites etc with later updates . It drastically increases the lewdness of the game without too much more added production time. Reminding the player every so often that Grove is dealing with forced teasing. I also hope for the possibility to unlock more exotic combinations of scenarios if one is able to traverse across regions in states (slime suited, latched, wrapped in bandages) and that enemies react with specific attacks or text prompts in those scenarios. That way you get more game for backtracking the same areas.
Would also be awesome if Grove needed to carry around items of a suggestive nature, and that after getting knocked down in combat, certain enemies took advantage of said items, for bonus sequences. Maybe even combinations of items, or a stackable effect if you have several of the same item (like with latchers). Say for example the rope you need to rappel to the mines. Maybe you need 3 ropes, and you collect them at different places, needing to get past enemies to get them. With the 1st rope, your ankles get tied upon knock-down. With the second rope, your wrists get tied upon knock-down. With a third rope, you get hogtied, and a lewd game over ensues. Something like that. This might also force you have to go back and get a new item of the same kind even if you defeat the enemy! E.g. "You cut yourself free of the rope, but now you have to get a fresh bundle". Just throwing it out there :D

As for inventory items that have an effect on scenes, that could also be done! I won't make any promises, but I do think that's a good and somewhat simple thing to implement in terms of coding.

Very high effort for a porn game, or an RPG maker game in general really. Honestly pretty impressive. Good porn, good characters, tons on offer here and I can't wait to see what else the devs can come up with in the future.

I went into this game expecting nothing. Was bored and just needed something to pass the time. The next thing I knew it was 3am and I should really go get some rest, but the "just one more thing" vibe was strong.
Definitely going to play more of this and pay attention to future updates. Best character ever? Tuon the blacksmith. He's absolutely precious.
Dont get me wrong, the game looks great, grove just seems like he needs a girl is all, im curious why there is not a single female anywhere to bee seen, almost unrealistically so, it would add more variety for atleast a few girls to the game, did not a single female come on the expedition to map and explore the north?
Like it says in the description, the game is M/M focused. There's some lore reasons as to why there's no women on the expedition, but there ARE females in this world.
We MIGHT include a female NPC or two in the game, but I'll tell you right now not to expect any explicit content with them. That's... just not the focus of this game, really.
Makes me a little sad though, l think dragons and lizards are cool, im just not all that into other dudes, i tend to go for the ambiguous stuff as a result, im not asking you to change the narrative, just some stuff for people who want a bit of the female variety, plust it might draw a bigger audience to your game, im straight and im here, i lean a bit towards the slimes and slugs scenes as a result, its a fun game, im just not really into other men.
Apologies that there isn't a prominent female presence in the game, but we'd rather try to have a focus for the content just so the bulk of the player base will know what to expect. There will be other 'ambiguous' creatures and the such, but I'll say this now that we won't be having M/F content in Grove. Perhaps in future projects, we'll dabble, but not this one
I like this game so much, i mean the Grove and all main character is great, yet the lil dragon builders[maybe?] in the camp, bandit boss and wizard are lovely as well[though the boss use tentacle to Grove after all Xd]. passing this version took me like 2 days and i just cant stop playing it, not just the fun scene[you know] is grea, but also the text and story lovely and attractive for me. once it is finished i even fill a bit sad ;0, after all i really am looking forward the following version.Xddd

very good game best game of the genre I hope to see more updates in the future and I can't wait to get this one but I wanted to see more scenes of bestiality like wild monsters and more scenes of the bad guys I think it has a lot of potential and could put capture scenes where the grove is captured and taken to a nest and being used as a sex slave and you have to run away would be really cool

Really enjoyed this game! Art and gameplay are both excellent! If I may make one suggestion, I'd love to see some scenes where Grove tops. Maybe 'punishing' a defeated enemy, something like that.
Easily one of the best adult games I've ever seen. A sincerely amazing job!
I've been playing it for 3 days straight, trying to explore every nook and cranny of the (fairly large) world and experience everything it has to offer (as of 0.204) and still didn't get bored in the slightest.
The characters are compelling and really well written, fitting perfectly with the lighthearted, at times sweet, and overall wholesome (if you can believe it) mood of the experience.
The enemies are well designed, both in art and mechanically, which allows for various interesting dynamics and consequences even out of combat, rewarding the player for finding alternative solutions and trying out different approaches to combat.
The art style of the panels during cutscenes and in the combat sprites is adorable and, although still a bit rough, nonetheless engaging (especially during the "fun" parts ;) ).
The story and the setting are both really intriguing and compelling.
The progression in satisfying.
Of course, there's still much room for improvement, but I noticed there's a conveniently placed Discord server section for it so think I'll spare those feedbacks in this post.
Alas I can easily see myself lost in this game after its full release. Can't wait for future updates :D

downloaded the game about three days ago and just now "finished" it, fell in love with the story and characters, and the combat system is amazing and very funny and kinky game overs. this game has become my new sporce of entertainment, can't wait for the next update.
just one quick question though, how can i escape the prision cell? i have just about checked everything i could, but i can't seem to find a way out...
If you're referring to the prison cell in the bandit hideout... there's a damaged part of the cell bars that you can interact with and break out!

What version are you trying to play? Windows, MacOS or Linux? Have you downloaded the correct version for your computer's operating system?
You're not trying to play on mobile, are you? Have you made sure to fully extract the game files before playing? Have you made sure to save them locally and not in a cloudsync folder?
If the game is giving you an error message, tell us what it is.

I haven't played the new version yet but I hope to soon, potentially with a friend I shared the previous version of Grove with on stream. I just wanted to let you guys know that I don't often like hentai games, especially not as much as I love Grove. It's such a special one, and all the kinks and such are wildly up my alley. Love love love it. Only thing I could ask for is hypnosis. Also I'm gonna try to donate monthly because I not only want to show support, but also want to see you guys thrive as much as possible for what you're doing! i just finished the games story and it was amazing if im being honest the story was fun to read the art was amazing and the fighting mechanic was very fun and actually hard at times especially with the vine boss which added to it when i downloaded the game i thought its going to be an hour long game that eventually ends with alot of plot holes and stuff like that but it went for a very long time way more then i expected from a free game next month ill definitly donate which ive never done on itch
i enjoyd it so much that the nsfw part of the game just felt like a little bonus to it
ill definitly be waiting for more updates to come from this game and keep on the great work!

To cut a long story short, we're both dreadfully busy with work and university. This game, much as we love it and all the support it's been given, is a passion project and not a 'job' and we don't want to turn it into one, so we only work on it when we have the time and the creative energy to do so.
It's going to be a while until the next update is ready, but hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it just as much, if not more, than the ones that have come before...!
Yea, ive been wanting to see females in the game for ages now, let grove get laid with some females, i mostly prefere the slimes since im not all that into other men.
Dude, no offence or trying to be rude but, you do know this is a gay NSFW game about a male dragon being raped by all kind of creatures most of whom have tentacle. No female exist are because of that, until the next update of course. Again, no offence, you love the and support it, I love that, please don't hate me for those words.
Now, I encountered a bug while talking to the blacksmith and when I finished talking, the player character and the blacksmith wouldn't disappear after talking.
I believe this issue might have been fixed in the most recent update v0.204
But if not, you should be able to clear the screen by teleporting using your documents case in your 'key items'! Just teleport to the Quiet Meadow and it should sort everything.
I'm sorry can you explain in a slow way, I don't really understand the meaning of some words and of course the bug I encountered in the latest version (I found this bug after following a GROVE timeline as of v0.204 )
I left the forest without wearing the slimy black underwear, because I didn't wanted to use it without a place to teleport back in case of any game over, and the underwear became inert. Is there anyway to reactivate it? Because looks like I have to use it in the glory hole
Make sure you are not playing in a cloud save folder, and that you’ve extracted the contents of the .zip file and not just played it via the folder. This may create save generation issues so it’s best to have this game in a local folder directory, ie on your desktop.
So I downloaded the game and I played through it. sadly my virus protection system picked up the Grove's exe file as a virus and almost crashed my computer. I had to completely delete the game and all it's files. I would love to continue playing this game. What should I do?
Firstly, I can assure you that Grove is not a virus, as I’m sure others can attest to. You could try downloading the game again and seeing if your antivirus picks up on that, but if not, try to add an exception for Grove in the settings or look into temporarily disabling active protection whilst you play the game.
Genuine question as I'm not far into it yet, what exactly does corruption do? Like is it kind of a "bad end route" if you get too much of it? Or does it just mean you experienced sexy scenes?
Corruption currently does not play a super active role in the game aside from dream variations, and the unlocking of a particular scene. All I can say is that we’ll never bar off lewd content based off of your corruption count, but it may influence the way Grove acts in the future.
my computer is broke, is it possible to download this to my phone? If so then how? Will it be supported on galaxy 10ae type phone? I tried to download it but cant figure out what app runs it, can you help devs?
We don't officially support playing the game on mobile. There's some broken visuals and other such bugs in the game that can mess with the playing experience.
If you truly still want to try though, the 'JoiPlay' program will allow for playing of RPGMaker games on mobile.

Im no detective, but it looks like the lighting effectsmay have something to do with the error in question, is there a work around or a setting i can change? I looked through all the settings that are available and still cant fix it, the ui settings and the settings in the book in the room, could be a coding error in the layers system
It's an incompatibility with JoiPlay and the plugins that we use for lighting, as I mentioned. If you can find a way to disable 'doodads' that should clear things up for you...
Just please bear in mind that we're not focused on mobile right now and won't be making official ports or fixes.

If you're referring to the chest that's hint mentions a 'newcomer' and his tent...
Then you need to try entering the Auxiliary Commander's tent that's to the west / left of the Inn. Go there with 10 or more Corruption, and interact with the tent several times...
If you need help getting more Corruption, the Slime Dragons or the Jungle Slugs can help you out. Just make sure you don't get an actual Game Over to them...!

so I did the forest part first finish it then getting the sand armor thing after that going to the desert with the smith and it seem to have broken the story sequence
The smith keep telling me to check the valley but going to the end of the valley only bring me to the next area, finishing that area then going back to the smith but he still ask me to check the valley, going back to the base camp then he already there
Is there anyway to fix this? Cus i don’t want to redo the whole thing
If you've got the sand armour and you can enter the desert, then you don't need to go back to the valley or check on the blacksmith.
Just head on into the desert and continue the story. You're looking for something in the north-east...
If you can't get into the desert because the sand wall is turning you back... then you need to go and talk to the Wizard at the Inn so he can activate the sand armour for you!
no no, that not what I mean. I’m not a native speaker so it difficult to explain but there are two blacksmith, one in the desert asking me to check the valley(which I did it just bring me to the next area) and one in the camp finished the stripper armor
It's just a small bug with the game's internal 'switches'. It should not stop you from completing the game and seeing all the content. If you can still go through the valley, go to the desert, get the stripper armour, then it's fine. Just ignore the two blacksmiths.
We are aware of this issue and have fixed it on our internal build.

downloaded the game about three days ago and just now "finished" it, fell in love with the story and characters, and the combat system is amazing and very funny and kinky game overs. this game has become my new sporce of entertainment, can't wait for the next update.
just one quick question though, how can i escape the prision cell? i have just about checked everything i could, but i can't seem to find a way out...
If you're referring to the prison cell in the bandit hideout... there's a damaged part of the cell bars that you can interact with and break out!

What version are you trying to play? Windows, MacOS or Linux? Have you downloaded the correct version for your computer's operating system?
You're not trying to play on mobile, are you? Have you made sure to fully extract the game files before playing? Have you made sure to save them locally and not in a cloudsync folder?
If the game is giving you an error message, tell us what it is.
Hopefully one of these suggestions can help you.

I haven't played the new version yet but I hope to soon, potentially with a friend I shared the previous version of Grove with on stream. I just wanted to let you guys know that I don't often like hentai games, especially not as much as I love Grove. It's such a special one, and all the kinks and such are wildly up my alley. Love love love it. Only thing I could ask for is hypnosis. Also I'm gonna try to donate monthly because I not only want to show support, but also want to see you guys thrive as much as possible for what you're doing! I'm curious if you guys will ever add this particular game to Steam when it's done? Would love to have it in my collection.

i just finished the games story and it was amazing if im being honest the story was fun to read the art was amazing and the fighting mechanic was very fun and actually hard at times especially with the vine boss which added to it when i downloaded the game i thought its going to be an hour long game that eventually ends with alot of plot holes and stuff like that but it went for a very long time way more then i expected from a free game next month ill definitly donate which ive never done on itch
i enjoyd it so much that the nsfw part of the game just felt like a little bonus to it
ill definitly be waiting for more updates to come from this game and keep on the great work!

The way you guy enthusiastically answered every comments has showed that Grove's developers are still paying attention to their brainchild, that this game will still live and be updated in the near future.
I remember you guy said there was some problems in the design team, sorry to hear that, but, whatever it is, I really do hope that the problems will be easily solved, Grove would still stand strong and update more storylines, more maps, characters, NSFW arts :>

Hey, thank you very much for the kind and considerate comment. It actually does mean a lot to hear the positive reinforcement that you've given, even as we go through a bit of a rough spot in terms of game dev.
To cut a long story short, we're both dreadfully busy with work and university. This game, much as we love it and all the support it's been given, is a passion project and not a 'job' and we don't want to turn it into one, so we only work on it when we have the time and the creative energy to do so.
It's going to be a while until the next update is ready, but hopefully you'll be able to enjoy it just as much, if not more, than the ones that have come before...!
Yea, ive been wanting to see females in the game for ages now, let grove get laid with some females, i mostly prefere the slimes since im not all that into other men.
Dude, no offence or trying to be rude but, you do know this is a gay NSFW game about a male dragon being raped by all kind of creatures most of whom have tentacle. No female exist are because of that, until the next update of course. Again, no offence, you love the and support it, I love that, please don't hate me for those words.
Now, I encountered a bug while talking to the blacksmith and when I finished talking, the player character and the blacksmith wouldn't disappear after talking.
I believe this issue might have been fixed in the most recent update v0.204
But if not, you should be able to clear the screen by teleporting using your documents case in your 'key items'! Just teleport to the Quiet Meadow and it should sort everything.
I'm sorry can you explain in a slow way, I don't really understand the meaning of some words and of course the bug I encountered in the latest version (I found this bug after following a GROVE timeline as of v0.204 )
If Grove and the Blacksmith don't disappear from your screen...
Open your menu, go to Key Items, use the Documents Case. Select Quiet Meadow as your destination. That should clear the screen.

im just starting to play this game and when i got to the cliffside forest i couldnt see anyting it was just plain black
Yep, that's 'cause you're playing on mobile. Because certain plugins we use don't work with mobile, we don't officially support the game on mobile.
If you have a computer, please do play the game on that instead.
I left the forest without wearing the slimy black underwear, because I didn't wanted to use it without a place to teleport back in case of any game over, and the underwear became inert. Is there anyway to reactivate it? Because looks like I have to use it in the glory hole
You'll have to go back to an earlier save / restart I'm afraid.
i just left the game then when i opened the game again all my saved progress is gone
Make sure you are not playing in a cloud save folder, and that you’ve extracted the contents of the .zip file and not just played it via the folder. This may create save generation issues so it’s best to have this game in a local folder directory, ie on your desktop.

So I downloaded the game and I played through it. sadly my virus protection system picked up the Grove's exe file as a virus and almost crashed my computer. I had to completely delete the game and all it's files. I would love to continue playing this game. What should I do?
Firstly, I can assure you that Grove is not a virus, as I’m sure others can attest to. You could try downloading the game again and seeing if your antivirus picks up on that, but if not, try to add an exception for Grove in the settings or look into temporarily disabling active protection whilst you play the game.

Genuine question as I'm not far into it yet, what exactly does corruption do? Like is it kind of a "bad end route" if you get too much of it? Or does it just mean you experienced sexy scenes?
Corruption currently does not play a super active role in the game aside from dream variations, and the unlocking of a particular scene. All I can say is that we’ll never bar off lewd content based off of your corruption count, but it may influence the way Grove acts in the future.

my computer is broke, is it possible to download this to my phone? If so then how? Will it be supported on galaxy 10ae type phone? I tried to download it but cant figure out what app runs it, can you help devs?
We don't officially support playing the game on mobile. There's some broken visuals and other such bugs in the game that can mess with the playing experience.
If you truly still want to try though, the 'JoiPlay' program will allow for playing of RPGMaker games on mobile.

Im no detective, but it looks like the lighting effectsmay have something to do with the error in question, is there a work around or a setting i can change? I looked through all the settings that are available and still cant fix it, the ui settings and the settings in the book in the room, could be a coding error in the layers system
It's an incompatibility with JoiPlay and the plugins that we use for lighting, as I mentioned. If you can find a way to disable 'doodads' that should clear things up for you...
Just please bear in mind that we're not focused on mobile right now and won't be making official ports or fixes.

If you're referring to the chest that's hint mentions a 'newcomer' and his tent...
Then you need to try entering the Auxiliary Commander's tent that's to the west / left of the Inn. Go there with 10 or more Corruption, and interact with the tent several times...
If you need help getting more Corruption, the Slime Dragons or the Jungle Slugs can help you out. Just make sure you don't get an actual Game Over to them...!

Are you talking about the golden chest? You will have to lose to the tutorial encounter in the intro. Hope that helps

As for the 'ignored kuno' flag, that blue box is a fan story, and isn't a part of the actual game

so I did the forest part first finish it then getting the sand armor thing after that going to the desert with the smith and it seem to have broken the story sequence
The smith keep telling me to check the valley but going to the end of the valley only bring me to the next area, finishing that area then going back to the smith but he still ask me to check the valley, going back to the base camp then he already there
Is there anyway to fix this? Cus i don’t want to redo the whole thing
If you've got the sand armour and you can enter the desert, then you don't need to go back to the valley or check on the blacksmith.
Just head on into the desert and continue the story. You're looking for something in the north-east...
If you can't get into the desert because the sand wall is turning you back... then you need to go and talk to the Wizard at the Inn so he can activate the sand armour for you!

no no, that not what I mean. I’m not a native speaker so it difficult to explain but there are two blacksmith, one in the desert asking me to check the valley(which I did it just bring me to the next area) and one in the camp finished the stripper armor
It's just a small bug with the game's internal 'switches'. It should not stop you from completing the game and seeing all the content. If you can still go through the valley, go to the desert, get the stripper armour, then it's fine. Just ignore the two blacksmiths.
We are aware of this issue and have fixed it on our internal build.

No, nothing has been removed from the game. That scene should still take place during the Bandit Leader's game-over scene if you fight him.
