I need some help. Im in the desert and i cant seem to find where to go ive gotten to the cabin and the cave area but i cant find where to go from there am i blind or is that the end of this version.
did you get stuck the same way as i did? i though shade means to stay near some wall where there appears to be a little bit of shade, but i passed that part already, myself
as in shade you have to look for the parts on the map that looks to be below geound like a crevice type area. I got stuck since i got a black screen covering like 8 blocks wide on the right and left side of the map so i had to randomly search in the black screen area for the way.
i yhink shade is considered a darker area close to a wall or a crevice areas. Tho shade is only used in the dessert area so thats like the best explaination i know
After acquiring the 'tattered fragments' from the bandit hideout, and delivering them to the Blacksmith, he'll make that armour for you after you've completed the main story so far.
Hey guys! Just got a query for tips regarding the desert scene after you've gotten the cloak and enchantments. I start wandering the desert, following the darker path but quickly find myself getting exhausted and without anything that's obvious shelter. Am I being blind or is there something I missed?
Walking repeatedly in 'shade' spaces will eventually cause your exposure to lower and give you more time to wander the desert! Keep an eye on the UI and sound effects to know when you get more stamina.
I managed to make it to the cabin but I really feel it's either not clear enough or too harsh in its present state.
Considering I made it to the cabin by the skin of my teeth I'm certainly not eager to continue on into the desert, especially with an apparent lack of auto-skip for defeat scenes meaning I gotta mash the spacebar to be rid of the mirage defeat scene.
A'ight I clearly can't understand anything as I sat in the cabin the entire time I was writing that reply. And immediately fucking Game Over'ed the moment I took five steps out. I'm probably going to wait on the next update because this is genuinely infuriating atm.
I watch it every day, especially looking forward to it and paying attention to the follow-up story. I hope you can tell me about when it can be updated.
Thank you for being so eager to see an update. You should +Follow the game, and if you have a Twitter account, follow 'RegalBuster' in order to be up-to-date on any announcements and inclusions!
We hope you'll enjoy the update when it finally arrives!
Various events and grapple sequence failures may lead you to gaining corruption. Keep an eye out on the purple veiny HUD effect that appears, as that would indicate an increase in corruption.
If you would like to know where you can specifically source corruption, be sure to take a look at Qazm’s handy Grove timeline linked at the bottom of the game page.
hello love the game so far. But im kinda stick right now i know you're suppose to get a item from the wizard in order to go into the desert area past the purple slimes. I already talked to the commander in the quiet clearing. And when i talk to the wizard he only gives the option to buy stuff. So im not sure if im missing a step or if the game is bugged.
Have you cleared the Southern Jungle area yet? Be sure to do all of that as you’ll get a particular item that is required to traverse through the desert. Talking to the newcomer and the wizard comes afterwards.
started playing this game late last week... and i freaking LOOOOVE ITTTT!!! <3 i'm a huge fan of Corruption themes which is the tag that brought me here, and basically EVERYTHING you guys have put into this has blown away all the expectations i had for getting into another in-development Furry/Scaley adult game! remarkable overall game, awesome storyline, and sexy, SEXY scenes!! <3 <3
figured i'd mention some issues ive had in a couple of my playthroughs that seem like genuine bugs, but overall my playthroughs have been pretty smooth! playing the Windows Version btw. sorry in advance if this is a hugely-long comment, but i'm a meticulous thorough dude and i'd rather get all the bugs ive found in writing before i start forgetting stuff. ^^;
-biggest repeatable issue ive had is in the Desert section in the North in every playthrough ive done so far. it seems everywhere where the "Sun/Overheating countdown" effect is active, my game lags so much that i'm actually surprised i can move anywhere without crashing. the lagging reduces when im on a shade-tile, like inside the Shack out of the sun, but does not go away and character still skips while moving, though nowhere near as bad as outside in the sun. the lag goes away completely when i fall into a pitfall/cave. but comes right back at the same lag intensity when i emerge into the desert. i barely made it to the Bunker just from the lag alone.
- another Desert Glitch, when Grove collapses from heat exposure i found something like an exploit glitch that will allow you to keep going. if a Shambling Mirage is alerted/chasing you at the time you collapse, and the text-box saying you collapsed is on-screen, waiting for the Mirage to reach you before advancing the text-box to the Game Over scenes will trigger a battle and override the Game Over before it activates. you then defeat or escape the enemy, and you'll be back in the desert with more steps available before you collapse again.
- the Chaperone Computer level (from the Bunker) is also a little laggy but nowhere near as bad as the Desert. however it's laggy enough to make the timing-based sprint-puzzles EXTRA hard, and getting sent back to the beginning of the path every time is rage-inducing. ^^; if challenging puzzles like this are gonna happen more and more, i really wish i could load a save right from the "Save Game" menu option instead of having to "End Game" to go back to title, then "Load Game" every time i mis-time it or lag, and step on the purple.
-ive noticed that a few different effects on the Player seem to cause tiny lags in movement, like eating the strange fruit on the Farm and having the arousal building as you walk causes tiny skips as opposed to normal smooth walking and spriinting movement. i'm wondering if its specifically step-count based effects or statuses that seem to be laggy for me? thats what it appears im observing.
- i also experience lagging on the QTE sequences for trying to escape both the Mimic in the caves, and the Pod-Plants in the Jungle. i hit the keys as they appear, but they seem to linger on the key i just hit too long after, and i appear to be timing out or hitting an incorrect key since im looking too long at the one ive just hit. feels like lag when i hit an arrow-key that makes it impossible to keep good timing and escape. ive never beaten any of those QTE's yet as a result. which makes me really glad they're optional/avoidable
-other than that, i went on a corruption-gathering rampage over the weekend, literally farming the "Slime Coat" scene when submitting to the Slimed Dragons and gaining a corruption + 1 every time, then burning the slime off, sleeping, running back, and repeating. i wanted to see what a super-high corruption level would do to effect the game and dialogue from as early a point in the story as i could. so... i got a corruption level of literally 50 before i stopped farming, and it seemed to break the "Check Corruption" option at the book in Room 102. it read the corruption level just fine while i was checking it while gaining corruption, until i advanced the storyline by another major event/chapter, checked it again, and it didnt display anything but an empty text box. i pretty sure i still had the corruption present as a stat cause i was able to trigger the tent-scene west of the Inn just fine once the merc captain showed up. not sure the game knows what to do with 50+ corruption lol! ^w^ (took me like 2 real hours to gather that much sweet corruption lol, i wanted to see if i could make Grove's eyes permanently purple like Turon/the Smith)
those are the biggest things i found worth mentioning, there are several dialogue-based errors like grammar and spelling mistakes and such, but they dont really break the immersion and i'd have to play through again and document em specifically to list them. again, sorry if this is too long a bug report for a comments section, but i really freaking LOVE this game and im hoping my input helps! ^w^
Thanks for the kind, and long, comment on the game! Glad you largely seemed to enjoy your experience playing it, and hope we can continue to please you with content moving forward.
To that end, do make sure you're following us on FA / Twitter / Itch.io itself so you'll know when more is on the way!
As for your comments on the bugs and issues, I can say that these are all unfortunate but known issues. Some stuff is fixable, such as the desert and virtual area. Some stuff we aren't touching yet, like the Corruption counter, since there's no need / content at such a high number. Some stuff like the QTEs are a little more complicated... and I can't make any promises. We may put out one more 'stability patch' in the near future to help fix for folks.
If and when we do, we'd greatly appreciate your input to see if the lag and bugs persist. In the meantime, thanks again for playing and have a nice day.
Thanks! ^w^ following ya on FA and Here already, this is DEFINETELY a game i wanna keep track of <3 <3
happy to help where i can with reporting bugs and stuff, though i didnt realize all of these were already known issues though ^^; i'll prolly stick to reporting back on stuff when updates occur from now on so that im hopefully not repeating known stuff again ^^; still, ive fallen deeply in lust with this game and am happy to help out in any way i can ^w^ <3
We've a lot of very cool folks on the game's Discord who help give bug-reports. That being said, I also absolutely welcome repeated mentions, because it gives us a good idea of how prevalent a problem may or may not be. If only one person has a funny little issue, or if a whole bunch of folks suffer from the same thing, it helps a lot with prioritising. So please do not feel dissuaded from sharing your thoughts, both positive and negative regarding the game.
So I have 2 gamesaves 0.201 and 0.204 and I'm surprise that I have these items(Mystery Vial & Azure Band) in 0.201. Did I miss something in 0.204 cause I don't have it?
Both of those items can be acquired in the Bandit Hideout. The Mystery Vial is from examining a shelf near the entrance to the bandit leader's room. The Azure Band is from freeing and talking to the captured worker in the southern cells, after completing the bandit hideout one way or another.
I love progressing through this game! Unfortunately I've hit a complete stop - normally I have good reflexes and timing, but for some reason CHAPERONE -ERROR's tiles change also lag my device to the point where moving is completely guesswork.. the lack of a checkpoint or atleast a quick load button is also making it feel tedious.
At the time I wrote this comment, I was using an old laptop from late 2010's that ran well for most of the game until this level.
Hey, sorry to hear you've had trouble with this section. Unfortunately we're not quite sure what the cause is... some high-end computers struggle to run it, some low-end computers handle it just fine...
Whatever the case may be, my best recommendations would be to use mouse-click controls, play the game windowed and shrunken down, closing any other intensive software you might have running in the background, and making sure you're playing the v0.204 build.
If you need to update your game version, the save file transfer guide included should help make it so you don't lose any progress!
I made it through but i had to savescum like a motherfucker to do it, i get hit and quit out and reload to get back and try again and again, even blindly sometimes too, but it is one hell of a slog to do, thank god thats over, that was just painfull, took me forever because of the lag.
Hey! Apologies for the late reply, but if you’re talking about the purple glitch sprite, you will need to go up into a hole in the wall, and interact with the item on the ground.
If you’re taking about the tiles, remember, the white tiles are safe to stand on, and there are sometimes breaks in between a single flashing path, so you won’t need to go through it in one go
Could someone tell me how do I get to the dunes after talking with the commander? I've searched every place I could, but I just cannot find an entrance.
Make sure you acquired the 'Dust Covers' from the Inn, by talking to the wizard. Don't forget to equip them, otherwise you can't get to the dunes.
Then you need to head back to the northern settlement, across the bridge, into the valley, past the purple 'mirages', and you SHOULD be able to exit through the north into the dunes!
The dark tent with the purple stuff? That tent is cut content, they didn't have time to finish it before release. You cannot access it in patch 0.204, but it will show up in the future.
Thank you for allowing me to translate version 0.122a into Japanese. I enjoyed playing it so much that I decided to play version 0.204 as is, even though my English is not good.
I'm not good at English, but I was able to play version 0.204 as is. It's fun as is, but I feel more immersed in the game in Japanese.
(Sorry for the bad English, it's an automatic translation)
There is a full guide on this page that shows all paths and corruption gain spots, warning though there are spoilers for those beginning parts (and iirc someone is making an updated guide for the new areas as well)
Thanks for creating such a wonderful game! As a Mac player, I found that the game will crush if you just unzip it and start it in its original folder, the solution is pull the 'Game' to 'Application' folder, though I solved the problem through this way, there might have other bugs somewhere, I will continue 'test' the game via Mac platform.
I met a red dragon and a yellow dragon in an abandoned tavern in the desert. After we spoke, they and Kuno disappeared, and I didn't know what to do next. So I tried to find them.
I'm sure it can get stressful when you're creating something as big as this, and you mostly get comments reporting bugs and such. In light of that thought, I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love the game that you've created, and I hope that you enjoy working on it as much as I enjoy playing it.
I don't want to bother you with frivolous questions, since I'm sure you get enough of those already, but I do have one if you'll humor me. Do you know if the Cobra will be a reoccurring enemy / villain in the future? He's probably my favorite enemy design.
Once Kuno joins your party, the way you want to go is the river in the bottom-right of the jungle campsite. There should be an interactive element there...
I have some doubts, first I already finished the desert part and unlocked the gallery and I don't know what else to do to continue the game, secondly how to unlock the violet chest where the bandits are in the gallery and finally how do I get the last chest of the last room.please someone answer thanks
If you're using Joiplay, hold tap on Grove game icon in the main menu -> Edit Plugins -> Scroll down to YEP_GridFreeDoodads and disable it. Start up your game again and you will be able to see the map.
I am in love with this game and wanted to ask some questions, how much more content do you plan to add in relation to what is now, what percentage of the total work has already been done, how big is the game going to get, there are 2 empty rooms in the gallery, does this mean that only 2 absolutely new locations are planned to be added? If it's not a secret, I would like to get answers to my questions. Absolutely in love with the game 10/10

Thanks for your kind words~
Waiting is really a distressing thing.
I need some help. Im in the desert and i cant seem to find where to go ive gotten to the cabin and the cave area but i cant find where to go from there am i blind or is that the end of this version.
there is a shady place in the right side
Thanks

How to get the stripperific armour
After acquiring the 'tattered fragments' from the bandit hideout, and delivering them to the Blacksmith, he'll make that armour for you after you've completed the main story so far.
The bandit hideout...meaning from the underground cave one?
So where do I get the tatter from the hideout?
lose to a bandit, get captured, then escape from your cell and recover your armour in the middle kitchens / storage area.

Ah snap...i need to replay everything then...

As I said, "walking repeatedly" in the shade.
It's steps taken, not time.

Hmmm the easiest way to seduce the enemies is to "Present Yourself"
hey i have a question how do I install the language patch?
Why can't we directly own corrupt equipment, but we must transform it? Can't you just set it to be highly corrupt and wearable?
Various events and grapple sequence failures may lead you to gaining corruption. Keep an eye out on the purple veiny HUD effect that appears, as that would indicate an increase in corruption.
If you would like to know where you can specifically source corruption, be sure to take a look at Qazm’s handy Grove timeline linked at the bottom of the game page.

How do you get Slimed by the Slime Dragons?
Failing a grapple sequence with enough STM to survive should lead you to getting slime suited.

Could someone tell me how do I get to the dunes after talking with the commander? I've searched every place I could, but I just cannot find an entrance.
abandoned vilage, desert passage aboid slow enimies and purple poison. Go in cave. Leave to the right of cave entrance
Make sure you acquired the 'Dust Covers' from the Inn, by talking to the wizard. Don't forget to equip them, otherwise you can't get to the dunes.

Its inaccessible for now... Wait, how come your FOV is so wide X_X. I can't even see the orange mushroom in my end.
i feel so sad that I missed one memory X_X. Will this affect the future game play?
I think we will include another way to acquire this memory and the item you get from it in the future
i got it lol so after completing 0.204 I just need to talk to the blacksmith. X_X
just get caught once by bandits then complete the rest perfectly. And you get them after talking with the black smith and waiting a while
Thank you for allowing me to translate version 0.122a into Japanese. I enjoyed playing it so much that I decided to play version 0.204 as is, even though my English is not good.
I'm not good at English, but I was able to play version 0.204 as is. It's fun as is, but I feel more immersed in the game in Japanese.

P.S. My device is MacBook Air with Apple Silicon.
I can't find the trio anywhere after the last two. Where are they?
I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you're asking. "after the last two"?
Have you been to the jungle yet? Leave the Quiet Meadow campsite using the bottom-left exit, go left, then go down.
That means red dragon and yellow dragon
OK... and why are you looking for them? Where are you in the game? What's the last thing you did? I need more information or I can't help you.
I met a red dragon and a yellow dragon in an abandoned tavern in the desert. After we spoke, they and Kuno disappeared, and I didn't know what to do next. So I tried to find them.
OK, I think I understand.
Go to the other building, next to the bridge. There is a rope inside.
Go one screen to the left. Then go one screen south. There is a hole, and you use the rope to descend.
you should put in cheat for people who aren't good at your game but like playing
Sorry if I offend you, but is this game really hard?
I'm sure it can get stressful when you're creating something as big as this, and you mostly get comments reporting bugs and such. In light of that thought, I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love the game that you've created, and I hope that you enjoy working on it as much as I enjoy playing it.
I don't want to bother you with frivolous questions, since I'm sure you get enough of those already, but I do have one if you'll humor me. Do you know if the Cobra will be a reoccurring enemy / villain in the future? He's probably my favorite enemy design.
Thank you very much for the kind and thoughtful comment. Know that it's very much appreciated~
And yep, you'll see more of the cobra in the future, have no fear! Hope you'll enjoy what we have in mind!
I just got Kuno in my party. What should I go next? I travel everywhere I pass and no way to go
Once Kuno joins your party, the way you want to go is the river in the bottom-right of the jungle campsite. There should be an interactive element there...
I have some doubts, first I already finished the desert part and unlocked the gallery and I don't know what else to do to continue the game, secondly how to unlock the violet chest where the bandits are in the gallery and finally how do I get the last chest of the last room.please someone answer thanks
Help idk if it's glitch but in the cliffsde forest entrance all I get is a black screen I can see anything and I don't know if I missed anything
this game is not meant to be played on mobile
If you're using Joiplay, hold tap on Grove game icon in the main menu -> Edit Plugins -> Scroll down to YEP_GridFreeDoodads and disable it. Start up your game again and you will be able to see the map.
Ay thanks for the help man
Hello, I was curious on how to unlock this scene? I'm not sure what I've missed
SPOILERS AHEAD
If you go to the jungle, get the latcher (or two) to attach to you. Then find a cleansing pool, and that should unlock the scene.
complete the desert section of the current game to unlock memories
I am in love with this game and wanted to ask some questions, how much more content do you plan to add in relation to what is now, what percentage of the total work has already been done, how big is the game going to get, there are 2 empty rooms in the gallery, does this mean that only 2 absolutely new locations are planned to be added? If it's not a secret, I would like to get answers to my questions. Absolutely in love with the game 10/10
