Extract the Zip file, and drag the 'GROVE' app into your applications folder. If a developer verification error appears when attempting to run the game, follow these steps: 1. Open 'System Preferences' 2. Go to 'Security and Privacy' 3. Go to the 'General' tab, then at the bottom (above the lock), grant an exception for the 'GROVE' app and click 'Open Anyway'
Once you've got the game running, come back to this website and download the Japanese Language Patch.
Once you've downloaded it, it should contain a folder called 'data'. Copy that folder... and past it into the Grove Game folder, here:

I've done a whole run through of what the game has to offer so far and I really enjoyed it! only thing I'm curious about are the oddities, I only ever found the underwear so I was wondering if it's the only oddity implemented or if there's one for each region that i just missed?
The oddities... there's only three of them. The underwear you found, a slab of slime from the green slime dragons, and tatters of clothes from the bandit lair.

Couple things: 1) Am hard stuck on a side quest. I can't find the tree on "Amongst the Roots". Searched the jungle, forest and anything that I could think of using the in-game hints.

1.) From the Jungle Campsite, head to the right and CLIMB up the vines. Follow the pathway along, jumping across stepping stones and climbing up more vines and you'll find your way to the tree.
2.) The Halloween content hasn't arrived yet. We'll let you know how to access it when it's ready.
So I'm stuck at the boss of the Orange Picking quest. I understand that I'm meant to strip to Distract the enemy, and then follow up with I guess just a Basic Attack? All other abilities are greyed out. But even after using up all my armor, he's still got more than half his health. Grapple attacks are weak and.... I'm just grapple defeated. I tried this 5 different times with different armor, but with the same result. I'm level 12, using the azure channeling blade.
Try getting into a grapple and then using the Resist command at the right time... pay attention to the words and the visuals, and you might be able to strip away his defences, so you can deal more damage.
Keep on pulling away at his clothes, or go for a Strip > Attack when you think he's weak enough. Up to you, give it a shot, and good luck!
So I've been playing this game for 2 days already and I'm in LOVEEE!!! But I have a small problem. I'm in the dusty cave at the cellar with the mosnter bats but I can't possibly pass by them because they keep pushing me back and I can't continue on the path. Could someone help me?

If you've yet to find this, the clearing in the slime forest is in the second zone. It's BEFORE the big green slime puddle. Just follow a path upwards, you'll enter a clearing and there'll be a sparkling thing in the bushes to interact with.

Hello! I've been playing Grove v.308 for a while now and I'm stuck in the Southern part of the map. I'm currently doing the mission where Rinnal and Kuno take the South/East side of the forest and I have to continue upwards onto a sigil jump and into a slug cave, I've met the red merchant dragon aka the wizard's brother and I've been given a package that needs to be delivered. I don't know where to go or what to do because I can't go back to the main campsite and there is no other way I can find in the slug cave.
Can someone help me pass the northern settlement exploration? I'm stuck there. I tried to go beyond Northern Gulch, but I couldn't either because of that sandstorm.
Return to the Inn. Head all the way down, then all the way left out to the cliffsides. There's a new path out there that leads south to the jungles, and you'll eventually find the item you need.

Wanted to replay it on my intel-based 2020 Mac, but it won't launch. Followed the instructions (moved the game to applications and clicked "Open Anyway" in security and privacy) but no luck. Lmk if there's something I need to do on my end
So I followed the Google doc Arm-64 instructions: Downloaded the stable model of "Mac OS X Arm64", copied the Arm-64 contents and replaced them in Grove's contents. But I can't find "app.nw" nor "package.json" anywhere even with search for those items.
Is the "Mac OS X ARM64" option on the site different from "macOS ARM64" in the google doc instructions?
If you're on an intel-based mac, then it'll have to be the first set of instructions. If it's still not working, then you may have better luck looking up instructions on how to run the linux version of an RPGMaker MV game on MacOS, it's more compatible than the windows build

Hey I was just wondering, see I remember that by corrupting the mc you get access to certain scenes but I was wondering if lowering his corruption gets different scenes or context. Also will the corruption change the ending?

I'm glad to hear there's a rework coming for this game, everything I've seen so far from the progress makes me excited. After hearing about it from some creators and how much they praised it, I finally gave it a shot and it was definitely up my alley. I do have a question that is a bit embarrassing to ask. Any chances this game might ever get compatibility with Buttplug.io or something similar? I personally think having something like that could enhance the experience and might even encourage replay value (lol). I've only reached the bandit hideout so far, and I've basically been playing with intense curiosity and triggering every game over just to see them. Hoping the rework goes smoothly, and I'll be happy to continue following this and all the other projects too!

I've been getting bombarded by a loading error message saying "Failed to load: img/pictures/groveportrait_acc_enhancedundergarments.png" during combat since I equipped the "Rubbery enhanced undergarments", Aswell as a neverending loading screen after the combat encounter.
I mostly just want to know if this means I should redownload and unzip the game again because something happened to the file, Or if that sprite file just straight up doesn't exist yet.
Amazing game nonetheless, Even if I do end up having to unequip this item for now :) PS: Sorry for the textwall.
Looks like the file wasn't downloaded properly and you're missing the image file, give it a redownload and hopefully that'll resolve it. The image does exist

When you say "the downloads aren't working", could you be more specific? Are you getting an error message, is the download completing but the game not launching...?

Download the MacOS version of the game.

You're on the right track.

If you're still struggling with this, it's simply a case of timing. Watch their sprites... go when they've got their back turned!

Inside the Slug Cave there is an entrance in the WALL that will take you deeper into the Slug Cave.
It looks like a sort of shadowed but glowing spot. If you're still struggling to find it, let us know and we can provide a screenshot.

Did it twice, Issue still persists.
I dug around in the files for a bit and found that I do have the image, The game just refuses to load it for whatever reason.

That's why I recommended you to install rar and unzip the folder with it, when I did that, that area was no longer black
