Broken claw can be found from 'Charger' enemies. They are found in the Glistening Stream locale. They won't appear until you have defeated the pink Spitter boss in the cave.
Sorry, what I should have said was that saves are not compatible between versions. You can try transferring them around but it won't work, and can cause some corruption of the game files too.
one of the most beautifully made games using rpg maker ive seen. the character designs are flawless and the combat is easy to remember and execute. the story is great and easy to follow, and the tasks are well tracked (especially love that it tells you when you're able to craft something, A+ all games need to do this i feel).
one issue i have encountered, however, is that the "hide sprite" option in the menu inverts itself at times, causing the options to flip - "yes" becomes "no" and vice versa. a bit annoying, but manageable. i just like being able to pull up the picture on my own and not have it cover the screen a bit. otherwise, 10/10.
